There is an old saying: The more you know, the more you grow.It is exactly for that reason that I decided to obtain a National Vocational Qualification in basket making as one never knows when this might come in handy. In addition, it is good to validate my skills in this way and obtain a publicly valid document.
The National Vocational Qualification offers possibilities for additional earning as well. Having obtained the National Qualification in basket making, I met conditions enabling me to become involved in a public works programme. I will be in a position to perform the activity until my retirement within one year. The employment within a public works programme provides for my social and economic security. What is more, I can present handicraft products to others and I have a certificate to prove that I am truly proficient in the craft.

Certificate holders take pride in the fact that we can attest our knowledge and skills by way of an authentic document. Deficient knowledge of real estate legislation in my work as a legal professional was the main reason I decided to obtain the National Vocational Qualification.The legislation underlying the National Vocational Qualification underwent profound changes in all areas since I completed my studies at the Faculty of Law in 1986. I started my career in public administration in a municipality. I had a grasp of every detail in the complete structure of the municipality. At the time, I was responsible for all areas which are today under the auspices of administrative units. I was also employed at the municipal real estate and legal department and I always found it enjoyable to work in the real estate area.
My desire to acquire a more detailed knowledge of the entire real estate legislation and to be involved in real estate in my future career were the driving force in my reflection to obtain the National Vocational Qualification.
The National Vocational Qualification gave me a comprehensive overview of entire legislation governing real estate and all related activities in my professional and working environment (land register, notaries, taxation, housing, land surveying, construction, cadastre, economic skills etc.). I truly expanded and enhanced my previous knowledge basis, which benefited me enormously in my work at a company I am currently employed in. Training leading to the successful completion of the National Vocational Qualification programme helped me consolidate and deepen my previous knowledge and experience as well as obtain new knowledge and skills.

I also assist the elderly at their homes.The reason for obtaining the National Vocational Qualification was the idea that despite my long standing experience in a residential home for the elderly I still could benefit from additional knowledge, skills and information needed to provide home care.
Many elderly people need home care these days. Having obtained the National Vocational Qualification in social care, I will be in a position to offer high-quality assistance needed and required from me.

I have been involved in cheese dairy for about 15 years. The certificate serves as the motivation for the future.I was in search for knowledge at different courses and seminars at home and abroad. The occupation requires a lot of practical skills. Since the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry was willing to certify my knowledge and skills, it would be a waste not to obtain the certificate. I will continue on the job training in the future as I am well aware of the fact that there is no such thing as sufficient knowledge.
The National Vocational Qualification will primarily bring attestation and encouragement to my work thereby showing that I am on the right track. The certificate might be useful in a different way in the future as it also demonstrates that I possess certain skills.

The National Vocational Qualification gives me an opportunity to be engaged in activities falling outside the scope of the Slovenian Armed Forces.I obtained the National Vocational Qualification in military nursing. I acquired it as I wanted to perform works and tasks in military nursing in the framework of the Slovenian Armed Forces by which I am employed. My decision for the National Vocational Qualification stemmed from my determination to upgrade my knowledge and skills. I am also officially obliged to acquire the National Vocational Qualification.
The National Vocational Qualification also makes it possible for me to participate in activities outside the scope of the Slovenian Armed Forces. My skills are upgraded as I am a first aid volunteer of the Red Cross where weekly first aid training sessions are organised. I got the certificate attesting to the National Vocational Qualification in military nursing. Therefore, I do not have to attend certain first aid training sessions since I have already mastered these skills. The National Vocational Qualification served as the basis for their recognition.

I am a younger person completing a VET programme at level IV.I did not find a job in my occupation. I decided to work in a kitchen and undergo training in assistant cooking. I was referred to training by the Employment Service. I was not qualified to perform kitchen tasks. Thus, I participated in the National Vocational Qualification programme in assistant cooking. Having completed the training, I obtained the certificate. I believe that I now have better chances to find employment in catering.
The National Vocational Qualification in assistant cooking enabled me to obtain extensive knowledge in cooking or catering. I mastered expertise skills, which is why I can complete kitchen and catering tasks by observing complex principles of safe and healthy food and by complying with safety at work standards and the HACCP system. I conduct my work with ease at present and I am able to contribute to a better quality of work in general.
